Week 7 NFL Picks

I’m on vacation in Hawaii with all four of my kids in one hotel room with two queen beds. Needless to say, I’m mailing in the picks this week.

Last Week:    9 – 5 – 0
Season:        50 – 39 – 4

Thursday Night (8:20PM ET)

Saints 34 at Cardinals 42
I won, the Cardinals won, and Kyler Murray is still the most overpaid quarterback in the NFL. (Apologies to Russell Wilson.)

Explaining Political Ads to their Little Children (Bye Week)

Bills – A very good football team, probably the best in the league.

Rams – A very good football team… last year.

Vikings – Maybe a very good football team?

Eagles – Probably the very goodest team in the NFC.

Early Games (1:00PM ET)

Falcons at Bengals
It’s early, but try finding seven teams you know for a fact are better than the Falcons. I’ll wait… FALCONS +6.5

Lions at Cowboys
Cooper Rush was a starter, a stud, a backup and a disaster Sunday night. It was the full experience. I warned you he’d be a pumpkin again. LIONS +7

Colts at Titans
Not excited to watch anyone from the AFC South in the postseason. TITANS -2.5

Packers at Commanders
A get right game for someone, just can’t figure out who at this moment. PACKERS -4.5

Buccaneers at Panthers
If Sam Darnold’s return is the biggest positive for your team in 2022 something has gone horrible wrong. 2022 has gone horrible wrong in Carolina. BUCCANEERS -13.5

Giants at Jaguars
Giants keep coming up roses in tough games despite underdog status. Gotta end sometime. JAGUARS -3

Browns at Ravens
I’ve sent a, “Lamar Jackson wayd” text way too many times this season. And it’s not even November. RAVENS -6.5

Afternoon Games (4:05PM ET)

Jets at Broncos
Cousin Sal quipped that the Jets have the better Wilson. I laughed and then suddenly felt really bad for Denver fans. JETS -2

Texans at Raiders
It was a tight race, but I think the Raiders were the most disappointing team a third of the way through. I also think they’ll fight their way back into the playoff chase. RAIDERS -7

Seahawks at Chargers
Speaking of disappointing… the Chargers have underwhelmed consistently all season. CHARGERS -5

Chiefs at 49ers
It was a tough week for us Elijah Mitchell believers. Brutal, in fact. CHIEFS -1

Sunday Night (8:20PM ET)

Steelers at Dolphins
A plethora of good receivers in action Sunday night. Not convinced there’s a good quarterback in the building, though. STEELERS +7.5

Monday Night (8:30PM ET)

Bears at Patriots
Bill Belichick wants to start Bailey Zappe and bench Mac Jones so bad. You know he does. It’s how he christens his franchise quarterbacks. PATRIOTS -9.5
