NFL Thursday Night; Buccaneers vs Falcons

It’s been a rough start for Mike Evans and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (AP Photo/Chris O’Meara)

According to some smart NFL people, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were supposed to be a playoff team. Instead, they’ve dropped consecutive home games to start the season. Tampa’s first loss came at the hands of a backup quarterback. That loss was then followed up by an even uglier loss at the hands of a third stringer. If the Bucs can’t beat backup quarterbacks why should I believe they’ll beat Matt Ryan and the Falcons in Atlanta? If I’m Lovie Smith, I’d give Josh McCown one half to prove he can be the quarterback of the Buccaneers. If he continues to look horrible, then Mike Glennon gets the nod for the 2nd half. At the very least, Glennon has proven he’ll chuck the ball downfield to Vincent Jackson. Jackson totalled at least eight targets in 12 of the 16 games Glennon started in 2013. Losing is fine. Boring and losing is unacceptable. FALCONS If I were Charles Barkley; Falcons -6.5
