Flex Version 1.0

At the very beginning of the season, I asked my brother to go through and guess which games he thought would be chosen for the NFL’s flex scheduling that will begin in week 11. For those of you that aren’t aware, the NFL got smart and decided to start selecting the Sunday night game 12 days before the actually game. This would ensure a competetive matchup and prevent us from having to suffer through Buccaneers vs. Redskins matchups in December on national television. This is a very brief synopsis. I just wanted to give you an idea. I will go into more detail at a later time.

For now, I just wanted to post my brother’s selections from the beginning of the year. His selections prove how unpredictable every NFL season is. I would gladly post my selections, but I can’t seem to locate them. Fear not though, I will be posting our updated version 2.0 flex scheduling predictions shortly. As you’ll see below, my brother did a pretty decent job. The only detail he forgot was that the Giants wouldn’t be eligble for so many games due to the restrictions the NFL places on primetime appearences (again, I’ll cover this later). He forgot week 17 as well. Enjoy.

Week 11: Atlanta at Giants (potentially a clash between two division leaders)

Week 12: Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore (Always a classic clash between these two bitter rivals)

Week 13: Minnesota vs. Arizona (Two potential division leaders and the love affair with Brett Favre)

Week 14: Philadelphia vs. Giants (Winston Justice back in the Meadowlands is too good to pass up)

Week 15: Green Bay vs. Pittsburgh (two favorites in their respective conferences)

Week 16: Carolina vs. Giants (two SNF games in three weeks? last year’s game was a classic)
