Week 18 NFL Picks

Week 18 is pretty big dud this year. So are my picks. It wasn’t a complete mail-in by me but pretty close. Sorry.

Last Week:  10 – 6 – 0
Season:     146 – 105 – 5

Saturday (4:30PM & 8:00PM ET)

Browns at Ravens
I took the Ravens and they took care of business. Will send proof if requested.

Bengals at Steelers
It’s half time. I took the Bengals. I also have proof if required. I never cheat, especially at things that provide me no actual benefit.

Early Games (1:00PM ET)

Panthers at Falcons
Raheem Morris had a tremendous week because he left Week 17 with two extra timeouts. I’m not sure what magical treasures those timeouts hold, but it most be significant to not use them with a playoff berth on the line. PANTHERS +7.5

Commanders at Cowboys
I still don’t think the Commanders are very good. Their best win of the season was in Week 3 against the Bengals. Since then, the only playoff team they’ve beaten was the Eagles, and they had to eliminate Jalen Hurts after only 11 plays to squeeze that one out. COMMANDERS -6.5

Bears at Packers
Green Bay is bumming hard about likely having to travel to Philadelphia in the first round of the playoffs. I can’t decide if Jordan Love or CJ Stroud regressed more this season. I’m taking the Bears because I think the Commanders get up big early and the Packers pull everyone early in the 3rd quarter. BEARS +10

Texans at Titans
Will Levis’ last stand. I can’t imagine anything that happens Sunday will convince the Titans that Levis is their future. TITANS -1.5

Jaguars at Colts
Are both of these coaches getting fired? If so, can Shane Steichen rejoin Nick Sirianni’s staff next season after Kellen Moore is inevitably plucked for a head-coaching job? JAGUARS +3.5

Bills at Patriots
Baltimore winning the AFC North was a big blow to the Bills. Instead of likely avoid the Ravens and Chiefs until the AFC Championship, the two will likely meet in the Divisional Round while Kansas City will host either Pittsburgh or Houston. I’m taking Buffalo because New England will play for draft order. BILLS -3.5

Giants at Eagles
I think the Eagles should go for the rushing record. It’s a bad vibes thing. I know it doesn’t make much sense and would unnecessarily put players at risk, but come on. It’s an NFL record… against the Giants… for a beloved Pennsylvania legend. I think we owe this to Saquon Barkley. EAGLES -2.5

Saints at Buccaneers
The Buccaneers could win the NFC. That offense is every bit as potent as the Lions, Eagles or Vikings. The defense may not be at the level of Minnesota or Philadelphia, but are we fully trusting in Sam Darnold in the playoffs right out of the gate? And don’t forget the Buccaneers have owned Nick Sirianni’s Eagles over the last few years. BUCCANEERS -14

Afternoon Games (4:05PM ET)

Chiefs at Broncos
This is my Super Bowl. Carson Wentz better let it rip like it’s 2017. Andy Reid is no dummy, though. He’d much rather have the Broncos in the playoffs than Joe Burrow and the Bengals. If Wentz gets hot Reid will have to pull him. Just kidding. Maybe. CHIEFS +11

Chargers at Raiders
I like the Chargers as a sleeper team in the playoffs but only JK Dobbins is at or near full health. You can’t be the upset team if you can’t churn out long drives and burn clock. Funny thing is the Chiefs function more like a feisty sleeper team than a 15-1 top seed. RAIDERS +6

Seahawks at Rams
Over the last eight weeks, the Rams got to 20 or more points four times and only one of those times did they score more than 22. That fireworks show with the Bills may have been a glitch. SEAHAWKS -7

Dolphins at Jets
I had no idea the Dolphins were playoff eligible when I picked them last week. There’s a reason I do this for free. JETS -1

49ers at Cardinals
I nailed the bad vibes team this season. The 49ers were doomed from the jump. Maybe it benefits them in the long run as Brock Purdy’s performance price likely dropped. However, that team is expensive and out of their three biggest offensive stars only one showed up this season. CARDINALS -4.5

Sunday Night (8:20PM ET)

Vikings at Lions
This is a great matchup but I think an elimination game is always better in this last game of the season slot. I can’t remember the last time we didn’t have an elimination scenario in the final week. It probably happens more often than I think, but I miss it this year. VIKINGS -3
