I dropped the ball over the weekend and failed to find time to recap Friday and Saturday’s NBA Playoff action. I’ll do my best to get you caught up on the big stories.
There were two games on the NBA Playoff slate Thursday night and both resulted in blowouts. Coincidentally, both losing teams received subpar efforts from their stars.
The Memphis Grizzlies fought back to claim Game 2 despite Chris Paul’s efforts. In San Antonio, the Spurs dismantled the Jazz and the Pacers dominated the 2nd half to top the Magic.
Truth be told, the Celtics had no business winning Game 2 in Atlanta, but don’t tell Paul Pierce that. Elsewhere, the Rose-less Bulls collapse in the 2nd half and the Lakers outlast the pesky Nuggets.
It’s becoming painfully clear the Heat (and the protective glass covering a fire extinguisher) is too much for the Knicks. In the West, the Thunder (and the officials) grinds out another win against Dallas.
