NFC teams are eager to learn where they’ll begin the postseason. For the first time this year, the NFC playoff picture is the bigger mess. Yes, we know the six playoff qualifiers, but seeds two through five are undecided. I venture into the chaos with hopes of providing some clarity. (I’m pretty sure I failed.)

Remember when the Sunday night Flex Schedule was implemented to ensure competitive matchups down the playoff stretch? No? Well don’t feel bad, apparently the NFL forgot too.

Twelve playoff spots. Two weeks to go. Ten positions remain undetermined. Eight AFC teams are battling for two Wildcard berths. Fans nationwide are anxious, especially in Minnesota. This landing could get a little rough.

What a wild, wild week in the NFL. As the playoff race in the NFC boiled down to seven teams, the AFC wildcard hunt swelled to eight contenders. It’s bedlam. Do the champs still have a shot to repeat? Shocking upsets, snowballs, laser pointers, and bare butts; like I said, week 15 had it all.

It’s do or die for playoff hopefuls. The Jaguars died on Thursday night, opening up the sixth and final spot in the AFC playoffs. In the NFC, all eyes are on the showdown in New Orleans. I also make a surprising case for retaining two coaches on the hot seat.

The NFC playoff picture boils down to seven teams. The playoff race in the AFC is a little more chaotic. Eight teams are currently contending for the conferences two Wildcard positions. Do the Dolphins have a chance? Are the reigning champs really dead? Did the Phillies seriously trade their 2009 MVP?

The San Diego Chargers are racing toward the playoffs. San Diego’s impressive win in Dallas continued the Cowboy’s December swoon and blew the NFC East wide open. The AFC Wildcard is also a complete mess as the Jaguars were unable to knock off the Dolphins. Does anyone want to make the playoffs?

We’ve reached the portion of the season where regular season games are fought with playoff intensity. There’s plenty at stake in week 14. The Giants can take over the NFC East, the Jaguars can essentially clinch a playoff berth, and the Steelers got KO’d by…whom? The Cleveland Browns?
